Description
This isn't a decision I am taking lightly, this little parrot is my whole world and I hope you'll love him as much as I do. However, I'm relocating to Canada for work and after much deliberation, have decided I couldn't put him through the stress of travel and quarantine. I'd prefer for him to go to a home with bird experience or someone who has done the research. And if local, would appreciate if he could be transitioned to his new home slowly to reduce stress.
Gabriel is a 6 year old blue quaker parrot, he's a little bird with a big personality. He's chatty, says his own name, "good boy", "what doing?", the bacon pancakes song from adventure time amongst other funny noises and vocalisations. He loves kisses, baths in the sink, head scratches and when you're his 'person', he's never off your shoulder. He comes when he's called, won't fly out of open windows/doors so long as his person is inside, because he will try to follow follow you anywhere (Even to the bathroom, lol)! He'll happily sit with you in the garden without a harness and I only put one on him when taking him out on walks on the off chance he gets a fright and spooks.
He is DNA sexed female, but I only found this out a few years after getting him so he has stayed 'he'. He's never laid eggs, however. He's never been ill, doesn't feather pluck and has no behavioural issues other than being a typical naughty quaker.
He's happily eating a nutritionally complete kibble diet but loves any veggie scraps, bits of fruit and the occasional seed or nut. He'll come with a large bag of his food, his toys and his travel cage.
Thank you for reading this far!
