I am sad to even be writing this, and I have such a heavy heart but our gorgeous little boy Archie needs a new home without children. He is such a loving dog and great with older children and adults but unfortunately he has suffers from
Anxiety around children and has started to show some aggression and nipped our children on occasion. We have 6 children now as we have become a blended family and he is finding the chaos that comes with children too unsettling for him and he doesn’t seem happy in this environment. He is ok with children in small doses and loves when people visit etc, will try to get all the attention and cuddles, but when he has had enough and wants his own space this is when he can become unsettled. He will growl to let them Know not to bother him so the older children will stay away and let him have his space, but the younger children don’t realise his communication and in turn this is when he has shown some aggression.
He has been with us for 5 years and he is going to be so missed, but for his happiness and our piece of mind we feel he needs to be in a predominantly adult home! As he does have anxiety he does need an home where there is usually someone home during the day too as he doesn’t cope well left alone for long! Only serious enquires please as this is not an easy decision we have made. Thanks
