Rehoming my dog
Name - Lucky
Age- 7 years old turns 8 on the 8th October
Only ever had 1 female owner(myself)
Sex- Female
Crate trained, Toilet trained, Does not go upstairs, knows basic commands (down for sit) paw, kisses, waits for her food until told she can have it.
Ideal home- Family with older children 10+
Behavior issues- Just jumpy/boistrous when excited and always knocks bins over.
Likes/ dislikes- she doesn’t like hoovers and will chase them and try eat the hoover pipe when it’s on. She does like running and zooming about.
Other pets- she does NOT like cats she had a bad experience when she was a pup and a cat made her jump then scratched her she’s never hurt one she just barks at them and pulls when she sees them. She’s okay with other dogs aslong as they are a similar size to her.
Children- Lucky has grown up with my 2 eldest children since they was 1 and 2 they are now 9 and 10, however my nieces are 3 and when they are here and if they cry or laugh or screech this makes lucky get all jumpy and boisterous and wants to play and when she does she knocks them down not in a malicious manor just with her size So I think she would be better around children age 9/10+
Lucky has been left for around 6-7 hours alone if I have worked and has been fine she’s not destructive or ruins things she’s good like that.
This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do however due to needing to relocate and being just over 8 months pregnant I’m unable to take her with me and with how boistrous and bouncy she can be I don’t want to risk her being around a new born baby, she has been on sofas throughout her life however not upstairs and having to retrain her at nearly 8 years old is unfair on her and I do not have that time to put into her any more she deserves nothing but the best and it kills me that I’m unable to give her that life now. I struggle to even take her on walks and give her that freedom as she once had she’s confined a lot to my kitchen and back garden as it stands. And it’s unfair on her, the circumstances was unplanned and I have tried my upmost to involve her in the pregnancy and prep her for a new born but it’s not working I’ve tried baby noise simulators with a doll which she knocks on the floor as a toy and then still try’s to lay on me and jump up me and it’s just at a stage now this is my last option.
I want nothing but the best home for Lucky she is an amazing dog and it’s heartbreaking that I am having to rehome her.
