Description
Cookie is an almost 2 year old Portuguese rescue. 🇵🇹 He has been in my foster care for 2 months now and I am seeking a loving and compassionate home for this sweet boy.

Cookie is full of beans! Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Papillon. He has the typical Cavalier kc temperament, which is described as tolerant, calm, friendly and loving. He is trusting and curious of new people, dogs and situations.

⭐️ He is incredibly well socialised; he has been around dogs his whole life and gains a lot of confidence from experiencing the world and walkies with my own dog (the Labrador mix pictured).

⭐️ He is fully house trained. He is not crate trained but I don’t think this would be hard to do; he can sleep in his own bed at night and he is not destructive by nature. 💤

⭐️He is intelligent and responsive! He has done lots of his life off the lead in portugal and just potters around behind you like a little shadow (he has a bell 🔔🥹 so we know where he is). ZERO PREY DRIVE which means he doesn’t chase cats, squirrels, ducks etc he is nonchalant and unbothered!

This breed mix is a lapdog/companion dog (Cavalier) which makes him decently low maintenance, but the Papillon breed can also be active/energetic at times and i definitely see both. He can easily keep up with a nice Saturday hike or 1-2 hour walk and play. Then on a lazy Sunday he’s happy to stay on the sofa all day with his person with no complaints. I’d say minimum 1 hour of fulfilling exercise a day - and of course some play with toys, and enrichment with kongs, chicken feet/natural chews and bones occasionally.

- Flea and worming treatments
- Harness/lead and accessories like blanket, bowls, brushes

- A small fraction of the cost of transport and logistics for bringing him back to the UK from Portugal.

This will all be discussed more once we reach that stage. Cookie is young and full of love. I am seeking only the best home for him as he is so special with such an unnaturally sweet and trusting temperament. He is a lovely little dog for someone who is not just out all day (unless putting him in daycare) as he needs companionship - whether that be with his human or with other dogs. 🩷🐾
