Description
Its with sad regret that we are looking to rehome our 7 month old girl Skye. She's perfect. There's been a lot of thought and discussion but we feel as though its the best for her. She is. Mixed breed, staff/frenchie/cocker spaniel. Black/grey/tan coat, absolutely stunning and beautiful dog.
We bought 2 pups from the same litter and over the weekend, they got into a fight (none were injured) they are showing some signs of possibly littermate syndrome.
My male dog did go in for surgery the other day and although she pined a little for him, she was fine within 5/10 minutes. I do think she'd adjust quickly being without him. Genuinely both dogs get on really well but due to my working hours and other personal reasons, its proving difficult to give both dogs the one on one time they need the thrive.
Toby was our first choice dog, but we also fell in love with Skye and didn't research enough when deciding on 2.
Skye is the most loving, sweetest and funniest dog. She loves just sitting and having a cuddle. Does have her mad moments but overall quite chill for a 7 month old pup.
She absolutely loves attention and belly rubs. Extremely smart and sometimes back chats you 🤣. She's never bitten, snapped or growled at a person.
She is house trained and crate trained. Sometimes can have a wee accident in her crate after the night time but that is rare now. She is left in her crate during work hours, over night and any naps during the day.
We have trained her, sit, wait, leave it, come, lay down, crate, down (from the sofa), these are still ongoing with her still being young.
Currently being trained to heel, her walking is getting much better. We started seperate walking for our pups and skye can be a little more nervous on her own so currently two of us have to walk her, if not, she'll just sit there until its time to go home. She loves treats and chicken and so willing to learn. From a young age, i have taken food off her during mealtimes to ensure she sees that as normal and she's totally fine with it.
She's been around kids from the age of 8 years plus.
Will bark if someone knocks at the door too loud, or loud noises that make her jump but its never for long, we use 'ah ah' and she normally quietens.
It's a very hard decision. We adore her, and in the little time we've had her, she is part of the family and we will all be sad to see her go but I want her to thrive and I think she needs to be the only dog in the family or someone with more dog experience then us.
She will come with her crate, her blankets, food, bowl, toys, lead etc.
Trying to be honest as possible. Any questions please get in touch.
She really is the sweetest and think she'd be best suited with a family that are willing to give her plenty of play time and cuddles.
Vaccinations up to date, microchipped, flead and worming up to date.
