The right home for Mouse is absolutely paramount. This is not about finding the highest bidder or making a quick sale. We want to find Mouse a genuinely loving, knowledgeable home where he will be understood, appreciated and kept for life.
He is not a highly schooled competition horse and hasn't had a huge amount of schooling. He was retrained and subsequently enjoyed life as a family horse with a mother and 11yr old novice son, mainly hacking, attending camps and doing some low-level jumping, dressage, equitation, synchronised riding, and has attended two hunts to which he was impeccably behaved. the most forgiving horse.
He loads and travels perfectly.
Mouse is an exceptionally honest, He is a gentle giant who is much more likely to need encouraging to go forward than holding back. He is therefore particularly suited to someone looking for a quiet, genuine horse to enjoy rather than a sharp or highly reactive Thoroughbred.
He is currently bare foot, but has also been shod on just the front before, or all 4 shoes dependant on work, he is foot perfect for the farrier.
Mouse isn't being advertised as a competition horse or a finished schoolmaster. He is a genuinely lovely horse who has so much to give to the right person, and has alot of potential for a more skilled rider who will put the time into schooling him to a higher level.
He is solid in traffic, with tractors, birds etc, He will hack alone or in company, in front or behind, he can be turned out with mares of geldings.
He is happy to live in or out.
Mouse has had a few minor medical issues over the years i have owned him, which I am willing to discuss in full, with the right person, he is currently insured for these things with agria lifetime insurance policy which can be transferred to the new owner.
Based in colchester Essex CO2. my dream would be for him to stay local and for me to keep in contact with any new owner, But not essential for the right home.
mouse has been my rock through alot of hard times, and this descision is one i have to make for personal, financial reasons, that pains me very much. absolutely no fault of his own.
