Description
This is Naidou (pronounced like "Nai-doh), a lovely 5-year-old Ragdoll and British Shorthair mix. He is a gentle, quiet and intelligent cat who would make a wonderful companion.
We have had him since he was a kitten, and he has always been well cared for. He is microchipped, neutered, vaccinated annually, currently insured, and has regular worm and flea treatment. He weighs around 6 kg.
The reason for rehoming is that we are moving across countries, and the journey would involve a long flight. As Naidou is a shy cat, we feel it would be kinder and less stressful for him to find a loving, stable home.
Health:
At around 1.5 years old, he developed FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) triggered by extreme stress during his neutering surgery. With prompt veterinary care and dedicated home nursing, he made a full recovery and has been strong and healthy ever since. He has had no further issues and is a robust boy.
Personality:
He is a very smart, gentle and affectionate cat. He has a sweet pink nose and a soft white belly that he loves having rubbed. He can be a bit shy at first and appreciates having his own space, but once he trusts you, he becomes very loving - especially in the evenings, when he likes to come and cuddle, purr loudly, and knead on you. He is generally quiet, calm, and well-behaved. He is also quite food-motivated, so offering him food and treats is a good way to build trust. He is not picky with food at all. His main diet is cat biscuits, and he also enjoys wet food (jelly). He goes to eat by himself proactively, so you don’t need to worry about his appetite.
When rehoming him, we are happy to provide cat food, cat litter, and worm and flea treatment. If needed, we can also give you his litter tray to help him settle in more easily. He also enjoys being brushed, and we can provide his favourite grooming brush to help him feel more comfortable in his new home.
We are looking for a responsible, caring owner who understands shy cats and is willing to let him settle at his own pace. A calm home would suit him best.
