Meet Hattie ❤️🐾 Hattie is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart. She is now thriving in a wonderful foster home near Oxford, where she lives happily with other dogs who have helped her discover that life can be fun, safe and full of kindness. Every day she grows a little more confident, and more of her sweet, playful personality begins to show. Hattie’s early life wasn’t easy. She was one of 27 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation, where she had very little socialisation or positive human contact. When she first came into rescue, the world felt overwhelming and trusting people seemed impossible. Look at her now. She chooses to spend time near her foster family, enjoys relaxing with her doggy friends and is learning that people can be kind. Every little milestone has taken courage, which makes her progress all the more special. Hattie will need at least one friendly, confident resident dog in her forever home. Other dogs give her reassurance, help her understand new situations and show her that the world is not such a frightening place. She will not be the sort of dog who settles in overnight, so she needs patient adopters who are willing to let her take life at her own pace. Ideally, she is looking for a calm home where her people have the time to help her continue building her confidence. Right now, Hattie is happiest playing with her doggy friends and relaxing at home. As her confidence grows, we hope she will begin to enjoy countryside walks and exploring with her forever family. The most rewarding part of adopting Hattie will be watching her develop over the weeks and months ahead, seeing her discover that she is safe and knowing that you helped make that possible. One day, the timid little dog you welcomed into your home may quietly become your shadow and the most loyal companion you could wish for.
