Chow Chow x Cocker Spaniel – requires experienced home
We are looking to rehome our young 6month old male Chow Chow x Cocker Spaniel due to housing circumstances beyond our control.
Cocker Spaniel x Chow Chow mix (often called a Cocker Chow) typically produces a loyal, intelligent, and independent companion that blends the affectionate, high-energy nature of a Cocker Spaniel with the aloof and protective tendencies of a Chow Chow.
He is a bright, curious puppy who enjoys exploring and is comfortable around other dogs. He has begun basic training and responds well to food rewards.
He is, however, currently nervous of direct interaction from unfamiliar people and has shown guarding behaviour, particularly when engaged by strangers. For this reason, he will require an experienced owner who understands canine body language and is committed to continuing positive, structured training.
He would be best suited to:
-An adult-only or older-children home
-A calm environment with limited visitors
-Someone familiar with independent or
guarding breeds
He shows good potential with the right guidance and thrives when given space and clear boundaries.
This is a difficult situation and we are committed to finding him a safe, appropriate home where he can continue to develop confidently.
