Oscar’s story is one of resilience. Rescued in 2021 after surviving the devastating Cyprus fires and born without a back foot. None of this holds him back. Oscar runs, walks, and enjoys life just like any other dog.
He is incredibly sweet and friendly with everyone he meets, although he can be a little nervous when he first meets you. He adores other dogs and would happily share his home with a canine companion. He’s even lived alongside cats before.
He’s settling into home life at his foster home. He can be a little unsure around loud or unexpected noises, his confidence is growing day by day. He loves his walks, gets excited to meet other dogs (always hoping for a play!), and is learning to walk nicely on the lead.
Oscar knows his name, has good recall in a secure field, and is both eager and gentle when it comes to treats. He’s polite at mealtimes, sleeps through the night, and can be left for short periods with other dogs without any issues.
Most of all, Oscar loves nothing more than curling up on the sofa for a cuddle 🥰
We think he would thrive in a calm, loving home—potentially with dog-savvy children—and a comfy bed to call his own. After everything he’s been through, Oscar truly deserves a life full of love, comfort, and happiness.
