Description
Nelly is a female medium/large dog that was found on the streets of Romania in July 25 she was taken to our Public shelter and was there until making her way to our Essex kennels in January 26. She was described as a friendly and happy dog with a Labrador type nature. She is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered with no current health issues. She was treated for Cherry eye with eye drops whilst in Romania.

General temperament:
Nelly is a very friendly, affectionate, and people-oriented dog. She is excited when people enter her kennel and may jump up initially, but she responds well to being redirected and settles quickly. She enjoys human interaction and will happily sit with people for cuddles and attention.
Aggression history:
No history of biting or growling at people
No resource guarding or food guarding behaviour reported
Handling (collar / harness / lead):
Nelly accepts a slip lead and harness willingly. She can be slightly wriggly during fitting due to excitement, but staff are actively working on improving her calmness during this process.
