Description
Stan the man is looking for a home where he can settle down with someone who doesn’t mind sharing the blanket on the sofa. He’s a lovely greyhound mix, standing at around hip height, but he’s very considerate of his size. He’s a handsome, all-black dog with white patches on his chest and feet.
Stanley was in quite a state when we first found him. We had no history for him, and considering how skinny he was along with several scars, we could only assume the worst. We were able to place him in a foster home, where he could begin to heal and gain some weight. In his first few days, he quickly bonded with the youngest child in the home, staying close by her side. As he began to settle and come out of his shell, he also made friends with the resident Labrador, who happily showed him the ropes, from the best sunbathing spots in the garden to mastering the perfect puppy eyes for extra treats.
Now that Stanley has been in foster care for a little while, he’s looking fantastic. He’s put on weight, had time to relax, and his personality is really shining through. He loves a cuddle and will happily snooze with his head in your lap. In the evenings, he settles nicely into his bed. Stanley would benefit from having another dog in the home, as he enjoys having a companion to cuddle and play with. He would also be absolutely fine with children in the home, ideally aged six and over, simply due to his size. Stanley would make a wonderful family pet.
