Description
Tuna arrived in the UK from Spain on Saturday 28 March. She is 7 years old (DOB 30/1/2019). Tuna is 57cm high, 97cm long, 22kg. Tuna is in good health and has previously lived in a home in Spain. She had a lump removed from her leg before she travelled which was benign. She tested negative to Mediterannean diseases.

Tuna came to me as a foster on Sat 28th March and has been the prefect house guest . She settled in really quickly and is very calm in the house . She gets on well with both my dog and x2 cats . She is clean in the house standing by the back door to go out and have a pee. We crated her the 1st night but now she is left out at night as just settles quietly on a bed and sleeps all night . We have left her for short periods during the day (3 hours ) and again she just goes to sleep when we leave the house. She is good with her food eating at a normal pace and is not food possessive , but is fed separately from my dog . When given a treat she goes off somewhere quietly to eat it.
She is walked on a harness but is very strong and does pull and has a very strong hunting drive if a scent or sight of a deer or squirrel is seen where she barks and just wants to get to it. When this happens I pop a figure of 8 halti on her and this gives much more control and enables her to calm down . But she is very strong and you will need to be well attached to her so she does not pull off from you . On a road walk again she is walked on a halti and is very well behaved not spooked by anything at all .
She has ZERO recall and is not receptive to her name at all when out so she must be kept on a lead otherwise she will be long gone . We have not had the chance to go to a dog park yet but she does like a good coffee shop especially if there is a pupachino on offer .
We have met lots of dogs on our walks and to be honest she is indifferent to them not going out of her way to say hello or interact with them but is fine if they come up to her.
She absolutely loves being cuddled and will sit with her head on your knee wanting love and will paw you when you stop wanting more .
She really is a lovely kind and gentle dog and will make someone a very special pet.

Please note: We are looking for a secure garden with fencing or walls to a minimum of 5ft. We also need the dogs to be kept on a lead, long lunge lead or for people to use enclosed fields for off lead exercise as these dogs are scent hounds & have hunting backgrounds. We do not rehome with children under 8 years old.
