Description
We are looking to adopt a small / medium sized pooch who needs a forever home.
We are a family with older children who adore dogs. We lost our old boy who was a rescue earlier this year and we're now ready to add to our family again.
I work from home, while my husband works very long hours, so pooch will be with me the majority of the time. This is why we would prefer a small to medium breed. Larger breeds would be considered if they are already lead trained and walk well with minimal pulling.
We do regular walks in the lake district on weekends and would love to have a dog join us again so a very senior dog probably wouldn't be the right fit.
The walks local to us are always full with other dog walkers so we couldn't adopt a pup who has fear aggression or reactivity with other dogs.
An adoption fee can be discussed if we both feel it could be the right fit for pup and family.
We understand that situations come up where people feel they are no longer able to look after their dogs. We hold no judgement, but ask you to give us as much information about their temperament as possible so we can make an informed decision on whether it would be a good fit. Once we have adopted any dog, they are then family and will stay with us untill they're eventually ready to cross over the rainbow bridge.
