PROJECT FOR SALE : Oliver, 16.3hh, OTTB, 9 years old
Im having to make the heartbreaking decision to sell my stunning boy. I have owned him for around 2 years but unfortunately i think he needs someone who can spend more time with him.
He is being sold as a project as he hasn’t been in work for a while, so he will need someone who is willing to start from scratch with him.
There is a good side to ollie and a very quirky side, with lots of personality. Ollie is always a saint for my farier with no issues, good with the vet/dentist, good to clip. He loves attention and fuss, gets on with all horses he meets. when he is in full time work he is a good boy. I genuinely believe if someone put all their time, 1-1 with him and had a routine with him, he will be a great horse for someone.
I’m trying to be honest as possible as I do not have the time he needs and deserves. So now for the quirky side of ollie. Once he is in full work he is a wonderful boy but can be scared of bigger vehicle (tractors). If ollie is not in work at least 3 days a week he can become cheeky by, throwing in a buck/rear. If he isn’t in work he will also become grumpy in the stable out of boredom. He can also take a little bit of time to load, however if calm and patient he will go on.
Selling him as a project for someone to bring him into hacking with potential of hunting for the right person. I have hacked Ollie out multiple times throughout summer, once in full time work he is very good boy. Ollie likes it the most when he is occupied doing the job you give him.
With the right person, time and patience I believe he will be a very special horse for someone.
Ollie has had a recent vet check up and had a small issue with his back legs. This was nothing major and Ollie can be still hacked out as normal to help build muscle in his back legs and lightly schooled. Message me for more information.
