Meet Pedro, the world’s friendliest dog! Pedro is a much loved member of our family but unfortunately due to our disabled daughter's struggles with inflammation and asthma, we have been advised to rehome him - which we are completely gutted about. Pedro is 3 years old and LOVES woodland walkies and meeting new people! He is amazing with children and other dogs and is instinctively friendly and submissive when meeting new people. He will lie down when another dog is approaching while he works out if that dog is safe. He does not bark and I’ve never seen him show any signs of aggression. He is however a working dog breed which means he will chase cats, he is incredible keen on walks and he is very STRONG when he wants to get to a scent. Outdoor training and off-lead activities have been minimised due to having to also manage a high needs child on our walks but I’m sure he’s smart enough to get it with the right input. Indoor training is great - Pedro is completely toilet trained, does not bark or destroy household items when we are out, will wait in the car without whining and when we are all at home together he is the most chilled dog in the world (except of course if a fly gets in which Pedro with jump up and catch in one quick move) Pedro is a big part of our lives and this has not been an easy decision. Ideally we would like Pedro to go to someone with plenty of time and energy to give him what he needs. We need to take at least one big walk a day to keep him happy with two smaller walks/toilet trips throughout the day. Someone with some experience of training/managing spaniels would also be ideal as he would benefit from additional outdoor training. I’m asking for payment for two reasons- one so I can get my animal loving daughter a fish tank to help her get over the lose of Pedro and two, to make sure that whoever does take him takes the adoption seriously.
