Description
š¾ Companion Home Sought š¾
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this lovely girl has recently been returned to us and we are now looking for a special home where she can settle and enjoy the next chapter of her life.
She is approximately 2 years old and we know her well, having her mum and sister here with us. She has always been groomed by us and is absolutely fantastic for grooming and handling.
She previously lived as one of only two dogs and, since returning to us, has found our larger group a little overwhelming. For this reason, we feel she would be happiest in a quieter home environment. While she generally gets on well with other dogs, she does prefer calmer companions rather than busy, boisterous dogs. A home with one steady, friendly dog she can form a bond with over time could work well.
It is important to be honest about the type of home she needs. She is not a dog who will arrive and immediately be ready for long walks and adventures. In her previous home she was exercised off lead from a young age, so she has had very little lead training. She will need someone willing to patiently teach her this skill and allow her confidence to grow at her own pace.
Once settled, we have found her house training to be very good and she has adapted well to being back in a routine. We also believe she was crate trained in her previous home and she has settled back into using a crate very well since returning.
She has recently been changed onto a higher-quality diet as her previous food was affecting the condition of her coat. She will leave with a supply of her current food to help ensure a smooth transition.
She is DNA health tested through Genetics and her results will be shown to her new family. She is Kennel Club registered; however, she will be placed strictly as a companion and her KC paperwork will not accompany her.
She is microchipped, vaccinated and fully up to date with grooming, flea treatment and worming. Depending on timing, she may be due a routine vaccination booster in the future.
What she needs most is someone willing to invest a little time, patience and understanding. In return, youāll have a lovely companion who simply needs the opportunity to find her feet again.
Her ideal home would be with a retired person, couple, or somebody who is home for much of the day. We would love to keep in touch and receive occasional updates, as her welfare remains very important to us.
If you feel you could offer this lovely girl the calm, committed home she deserves, please get in touch and tell us a little about yourself, your home, and the lifestyle you could offer.
