Description

Simon is a handsome all-black boy who was found as an unneutered stray and had clearly been through the wars a bit in his life on the streets. Despite this rough start, he has settled really well into his foster home and is very chatty and companiable. He nudges his fosterer’s hand to ask for strokes and likes to be near her. He will make a lovely, friendly and easy-going companion. Simon would enjoy being the only cat in the home where he gets all the attention and comfort to himself. He has briefly seen a dog which he hissed at, so possibly a home with a cat-savvy dog which respected Simon’s boundaries would be okay. Simon has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) from his life on the streets (the virus is passed between unneutered cats mating and fighting). Cats with FIV can have the same life expectancy as cats without the virus, but it is especially important to keep up vaccinations as they are more suspectable to illness. Having FIV means that although Simon is now neutered and unlikely to fight with other cats, it is most responsable to rehome him as an only cat and as an ‘indoor’ cat with access to a large catio or cat-proofed garden. Simon enjoys being outdoors so secure outdoor space in his future home is a must. Simon is in foster in Reading. Rehoming criteria: - Suitable for first time owners - Can live with older children - No cats - Can possibly live with a cat-savvy dog - Must have secure outdoor access to a large catio or cat-proofed garden - Can be left a working day The minimum adoption fee is £185 per cat which includes: - Neutering - Microchip (there is a small fee to register/ transfer ownership) - At least the first vaccination - Up to date flea and worming - A Pet Remedy new home kit - 5 weeks free insurance with Agria - A blanket for a familiar smell - Ongoing advice and support Adoption application form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf5QO8DSc3llkFhoBM-J-SAU3-zkubZJECudGmS3B9AzSAtGQ/viewform?fbclid=IwY2xjawIgGqxleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHff6YyRXxkRh_dxFPRHa8ZFsxnlbbSC627bjz0zmyypw3p385enXHJmZOw_aem_si8hUjKDv9eIdYTkcPGWYw If the link doesn't work, please copy and paste into your browser.
