Description

Adele is a beautiful 8-month-old Russian Toy Terrier looking for a loving new home. She is blue and tan, weighs only around 1.5kg and is a very sweet, affectionate little girl. Adele loves being close to people. Her favourite place is curled up on someone’s lap, where she will happily sit or sleep. She especially loves children and enjoys having company and attention. She came to Glasgow from Ukraine on 12 August after previously living with her breeder alongside other dogs. She has been through a huge amount of change in a very short time, and unfortunately we have realised that our busy, crowded small flat isn’t the best environment for her. This is a very difficult decision, as she is loved, but we want to do what is best for Adele. We think she would thrive in a quieter home with someone who can give her plenty of one-to-one attention, patience and security. She is toilet trained, although she has had some difficulty adjusting to toilet routines in the flat. She previously lived around approximately 20 dogs with her breeder, but since her journey she can be nervous around unfamiliar dogs. Her experience with cats is unknown. Adele has become particularly attached to one child in our family and currently finds separation from her difficult. When the child is present, she can also become protective and bark if other people approach. When the child isn’t at home she is affectionate and comfortable with the adults in the household, but can get anxious and search for the child. For this reason, we’re looking for someone who understands that Adele will need time, patience and reassurance while she settles into another new environment. We will be completely open with serious prospective owners about her behaviour and answer any questions. Adele is microchipped, fully vaccinated including rabies, and has her Ukrainian pet passport and supporting veterinary/import documentation. She is not spayed. She will leave with her bed, lead, harness, food, toys and clothes to help make the transition to her new home easier. Finding the right home for Adele is our priority, so we’d love to hear a little about you, your household and the home you can offer her when you enquire. Located in Glasgow.
