Description

Lajka is a beautiful 2-year-old mixed breed, weighing approximately 15 kg, currently in foster care in Serbia and looking for her forever home in the UK. Lajka has a gentle, sweet nature and is looking for a family who will give her the love and security she deserves. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn't take her long to realise she's safe. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly loyal, affectionate and enjoys being close to her people. She gets on well with other dogs and would be happy living either as an only dog or with a calm canine companion. Lajka has a calm temperament and enjoys exploring outdoors just as much as relaxing at home with her family. Lajka is house trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and has a pet passport. She will travel to the UK with all the required veterinary documentation through a licensed pet transport company, with monthly transport available. Your new companion will be delivered directly to your home, making the process as straightforward as possible. Like many rescue dogs, her lead walking and recall will continue to improve with time, patience and positive reinforcement. She would benefit from a secure garden and a family willing to continue building her confidence. We are looking for a loving, committed home where Lajka will be treated as a valued member of the family. Our adoption process includes an application form, video calls, ID and address verification, and ongoing support throughout the adoption process. We are happy to provide additional photos, videos and arrange a live video call with Lajka's foster carer so you can get to know her before making your decision. Please note: Once an adoption is agreed, a non-refundable £150 reservation fee is required to reserve Lajka and remove her from advertising. This amount is deducted from the total adoption fee of £675. Lajka will be available to travel to the UK in September 2026, when the next licensed transport is scheduled.
