This is my beautiful girl Nova. She is a Dutch herder x GSD, she is 17 weeks old and currently weighs 18.4Kg.
Back story:
I purchased Nova as I want a personal protection dog and also want to compete in IGP. Due to my relationship ending I have unexpectedly had to relocate back to my home town, which has now left me with an unstable home and no job. Therefore I can not currently look after Nova financially.
About Nova:
Nova is an intelligent and playful soul. She is really quick to pick up new tricks, she currently knows; Sit, paw, speak, down, up, off, guard, behind (guarding your back) and heel. She is getting better with out and leave. She gets on really well with other dogs, she loves to be outside, dig and play you can’t catch me. She is fully create trained. She is on a raw diet of 80/10/10 method, she gets raw treats like buffalo’s ear, beef trachea etc. She occasionally has sardines and egg in her dinner and is on 3 meals per day as puppy’s need to eat 10% of their body weight. Anyone who has had experience with this type of breed will know that they can be a handful, Nova definitely has her diva moments and her ears can just be accessories at times. She will come with her create, bed, toys, bowls, lead and collar.
Mum & Dad:
Both Novas parents have great protection instincts. Her dad who is a GSD has completed his Nasdu 1 & 2. Her mum has never done protection work however has this in her characteristics when it comes to her owners. Her mum has Presa Canario in her bloodline to counter act hip dysplasia in the shepherd breed, so Nova will be a big girl. Her mum weighs 53kg and her dad is 43Kg. Mum and dad can not be seen with Nova, as I do not own them.
This is not an easy decision for me as I love Nova to pieces, but I have to do what is best for her. On that note she will not be going to just anyone. The new owners must have experience with working dogs, you need to be committed to giving her breed fulfilment, you need to be able to keep on top of costs like toys, training, food etc. I am in no rush to rehome her as I will wait for the perfect family for my girl.
