πŸ’™πŸΆ BEAR – HE'S DONE NOTHING WRONG... HE JUST NEEDS A CAT-FREE HOME πŸΆπŸ’™ πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸΎ UK SURRENDER 🏠🚨 FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED 🚨🏠 πŸ“ Currently located: High Peak SK22 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟 πŸ”„ UPDATE We are so sad to share that Bear's foster-to-adopt trial hasn't worked out. πŸ’” The reason is a resident cat. The family have been wonderful. They tried their best and fell in love with this gorgeous boy. Unfortunately, one thing became clear... 🐱 Bear is not a good match with cats. When we first advertised Bear, we wrote β€œuntested” because he had never lived with one before. But family was hoping it would work with our guidance. Sadly, despite everyone's best efforts, Bear became very fixated on the resident cat. He has never tried to hurt the cat or shown aggression, but his excitement is simply too intense. The family don't feel they can safely leave them together, and keeping them separated has become extremely difficult. Yesterday, while Bear was on lead in the garden, he spotted a squirrel and pulled towards it. Sadly, this caused the elderly mum to lose her balance and fall onto the lawn. Thankfully she wasn't injured, but it made the family realise that managing Bear's excitement around the cat, walking him a lead even in a garden, wasn't something they could safely continue. With very heavy hearts, they have made the difficult decision to let Bear find a home that's a better match. 🐾 Meet Bear Bear is a 4-year-old French Bulldog boy with a huge joyful heart and an even bigger love for people. ✨ Highlights ✨ β€’ SIZE: Small but sturdy β€’ NEUTERED: Will be neutered by the rescue before adoption β€’ CHARACTER: Loving β€’ Affectionate β€’ Playful β€’ Friendly β€’ People-orientated β€’ DOGS: Didn’t lived with dogs, can bark on a leash (excitement?), best as the only dog to avoid another rehoming. β€’ CATS: Not suitable β€’ CHILDREN: Best with older, dog-savvy children β€’ HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes 🐾 More About Bear Bear is exactly the sort of dog who wants to be part of everything. He loves human company and simply enjoys being close to his people. When meeting new people, he may bark initially, but that’s not an aggression and he accepts visitors very quickly and is soon asking for fuss and attention. He walks well overall, although he can pull a little at the start of walks before settling down nicely. He already knows some basic commands, happily gives his paw and is eager to interact with his people. Bear absolutely loves playtime and adores his soft toys, carrying them around proudly and entertaining himself between cuddles. The main thing he still needs help with is learning how to disengage when something exciting catches his eye. Cats, squirrels and horses are simply fascinating to him, and because of that he needs someone willing to continue positive training and help him learn to focus back on his handler. The lovely thing about Bear is that he genuinely wants to be with his people and enjoys learning. He isn't a difficult dog at allβ€”he's simply an enthusiastic one. 🏑 Ideal Home Bear is looking for a pet-free home with people who have time for him and will be happy with his joyful and loving temperament. A secure garden would be wonderful, along with an active family who enjoy walks, playtime and making their dog part of everyday life. Most importantly, Bear is looking for people who'll love him as much as he'll love them. πŸ’ž His current family summed him up perfectly: "Bear is a loving dog with character and just needs someone to love him back.". ❀️ 🩺 Important Information Bear will be neutered by the rescue before moving to his foster or foster-to-adopt home. He will need simple post-operative care while he recovers. 🩺 Health Information Bear is healthy, microchipped, vaccinated and house-trained. He has no known medical conditions and will be neutered by the rescue before placement. πŸ’Œ If you can offer foster or foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: πŸ”— Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9 πŸ”— Foster Form: https://forms.gle/yE66hpgwdU9bnQsAA πŸ“© If you've filled out a form before, simply comment/send message us on WhatsApp: https://wa.me/447932590993
