Ruby is a 2 year old mixed bull breed who we have had since she was 6 months old. We have had to make the heartbreaking decision to re-home her. Ruby is a much loved family pet but she is in need of an owner who can handle her better and give her more excersize to keep her mentally stimulated and who can continue with her training. She's a fantastic dog in the house, housetrained and is playful with children however her perfect home will have older children if any at all. She could live with another friendly dog but will need her own space to calm down or she simply will not give them a break. She doesn't get on well with cats or furries even though she's lived with them all her life, her natural instincts will kick in and she loves the chase and bite given half the chance! But is fine with other dogs and feathers! She's friendly and playful but can be temperamental with strangers and children which is why she would suit better with an only adult or family with teenage children only! She is very boisterous and can be very jealous once she has bonded with somebody which can cause territorial issues. She has never had a problem with other dogs other than being overly friendly and wants to play 24/7 which has resulted in other dogs snapping at her but she hasn't once ever reacted, she just runs back to me, timid. Ruby has little to no recall, as a puppy she did but over the last 6 months she's matured and found her confidence and will not come back until she's ready. Ruby is lovable, will sit on your knee and cuddle for hours she really doesn't know her size, but because of this she will also jump up and knock you down given half the chance 🤣 She will walk to heel if there are no distractions and follows commands such as sit, lie down, paw, spin, heel, guard and barks on the speak command. Ruby will and has nipped from excitement when playing but due to the children being young she has hurt them. She hasn't once ever bitten out of aggression but she will bark and growl at strangers. Food and toy aggression have never been a problem, but she can be destructive in the house and chews if left alone too long and due to this she is crate trained and will happily go in and out when told. Ruby can open doors to let herself in and out and has bulldozed multiple safety gates clean off the wall 🤣 so she is used to the full run of the house and garden at her own leisure. The ideal home for Ruby will be somebody more headstrong than her and who won't let her rule the roost, somebody who is experienced with bull breeds and who understands that she needs the correct amount of attention and firm training. Price is negotiable for the correct home, loving her and meeting her needs that I cannot is the most important thing for us and no amount of money will ever fill the hole she will leave in our hearts.
