With the heaviest heart, I’ve made the heartbreaking decision that our beautiful boy Nugget needs to be rehomed. 💔
I got Nugget when he was just 10 months old after he’d already had such a difficult start in life with another family. Over the last 3 years, I have poured endless love, patience, time and effort into helping him through his anxiety and struggles. He is not “just a dog” to us — he is family, he is my baby.
Sadly, over the last 9–10 months, Nugget and Noodle have developed severe littermate syndrome and their relationship has become unsafe. The fighting has escalated to the point where they cannot be in the same room or even walked together anymore. It has deeply affected Noodle emotionally and physically, leaving him with severe trauma while also recovering from broken ribs and swelling to his windpipe caused during fights.
This is not a decision I ever imagined having to make, and anyone who knows me knows how much I love my dogs. I treat them with the same love, care and devotion as I do my children. Making this post is absolutely breaking me.
Nugget is the most loving, affectionate boy. He adores cuddles, loves his walks, and would do anything for a treat. He has grown up around children and has such a special bond with my 2-year-old.
Because of his needs, Nugget MUST be the only dog in the household. He deserves someone experienced, patient and understanding — someone who knows the breed and their traits, and who can truly give him the love, time, attention and structure he needs to thrive.
Please understand, he will NOT be going just anywhere. This decision has not been taken lightly, and I will only consider a home that is the absolute right fit for him.
All I want is for my boy to have the happy, peaceful life he deserves. ❤️
