Description
Meet Kiara š¾
PLEASE READ TO THE END TO UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING!
Kiara is a beautiful, loving girl with a huge personality and an even bigger heart for her people. She absolutely adores humans and forms very strong bonds with her owner ā she thrives on attention and affection and loves being close to āher person.ā
Kiara would do best as the only pet in the home. She can become protective of her food, toys, and attention if another dog is around, and she prefers not to share her space ā this includes the house, car, and her ownerās bedroom.
She is a loud and vocal dog and will bark in many situations: when people walk past the house, when she sees people or dogs on walks, or when sheās craving attention. She can also be destructive if sheās bored, so she needs plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and one-on-one time. She loves to run and burn off energy.
Kiara is very smart and learns quickly, though she still needs ongoing on-lead and off-lead training. She is house trained but may have the occasional accident, usually when seeking attention.
On walks, Kiara is sometimes walked with a muzzle or head collar. She doesnāt love them, but they are used purely for safety due to her rowdy and unpredictable moments. She has never been aggressive, but we want to ensure the safety of Kiara, other dogs, and people around her.
She enjoys chewing, but soft toys arenāt suitable as she may swallow pieces ā she does best with hard treats and safe, durable chews.
While Kiara can occasionally take a dislike to certain people or dogs, overall she is a lovey-dovey, affectionate dog who will flourish with an experienced, patient owner who understands her needs and can give her the time, structure, and love she deserves.
Kiara will make an incredibly loyal companion in the right home.
Kiaraās rehoming fee is intentionally set higher. This is not about profit ā itās about ensuring she goes to someone who is fully committed to owning a dog and understands the responsibility, time, and dedication she requires. Kiara is not suited to being an impulse decision or a ācheapā purchase. She deserves a home where she is valued, prioritised, and truly wanted for life.
Please continue reading to understand why I am rehoming Kiara
Kiara is absolutely precious to me ā she is my pride and joy, and we share a very strong bond. This decision has not been made lightly and comes with a heavy heart.
Recently, I welcomed a baby into my life. While this has been an incredible change, it has also meant that I am no longer able to give Kiara the level of exercise, stimulation, and one-to-one attention that she truly needs to be happy and settled. Kiara thrives on structure, activity, and being someoneās main focus, and at the moment she simply isnāt getting that from me.
As a result, she has become more frustrated and destructive, which isnāt her fault ā itās a sign that her needs arenāt being fully met. Kiara requires near-constant engagement, regular exercise, and consistent training, and I have had to accept that I cannot currently provide this while caring for a newborn.
Rehoming Kiara is the hardest decision Iāve ever had to make, but it is being done purely out of love and in her best interests. She deserves a home where she can be someoneās priority, receive the time and commitment she needs, and truly thrive.
Health, visits, and rehoming process
Kiara is due to have her booster vaccinations at the end of February. If she is rehomed before then, this will be discussed; if not, all of her vaccinations will be fully up to date before she goes to her new home. She is microchipped and will be fully flead and wormed prior to rehoming.
I would strongly prefer potential adopters to meet Kiara once or twice before she moves, to ensure a good bond and that she feels comfortable. Her next home must be dog-free, as she does best as the only pet.
I am taking this process extremely seriously and want the very best outcome for Kiara. Further details, expectations, and requirements will be discussed privately with suitable applicants.
