With a very heavy heart, I am helping my mum find a new, loving home for her two gorgeous 5-year-old Mini Rex rabbits. This is not a decision she has taken lightly. She has loved these two enormously and has always done everything she could to keep them, despite having COPD and being allergic to them. For years she has taken medication because she simply couldn't bear the thought of giving them up. Sadly, as she has got older, her COPD has become much worse and she is now struggling to care for them in the way she feels they truly deserve. As her daughter, I have been trying my best to help, but I work full-time and am away some weekends. It breaks my heart seeing Mum so devastated that she can no longer give them the life she wants for them. At the moment, because of her illness, they are living in our summer house. They are safe, loved and cared for, but we know they deserve more space, attention and the opportunity to have the wonderful life they should be enjoying. They have no health issues and have lovely temperaments. Most importantly, they are very closely bonded and adore each other, so they absolutely must stay together. We will not consider separating them.
