💔 Rachel arrived in England just a month ago… and everyone who meets her falls in love.
She is everything you could wish for — gentle, affectionate, joyful… a true little angel. Her current family adore her and would never let her go if love alone was enough.
Rachel now lives with older resident dogs who simply do not accept her playful nature. So, with heavy hearts, her family has made the kindest decision — to find her a home where she can truly be happy and free to be herself. They will wait as long as needed for the right home.
🐾 Meet Rachel

💔 Rescue Story
Rachel was found wandering the streets alone, surviving as best as she could.
When her previous owners were located, the truth was heartbreaking — she had been kept on a chain and occasionally let loose to find food for herself.
Despite this, she carries no fear. No anger. Only love.
🐾 More About Rachel
Rachel is truly one of a kind. She doesn’t just like people — she needs them. She leans into you, buries her head into your neck and gives the most heartfelt cuddles. If she could climb into your arms and stay there forever, she would.
Current Family’s Notes:
“Rachel is a one of a kind dog, she is an absolute sweetheart who is so gentle and the most loving dog I have ever met (including my dogs!). Rachel just wants to be loved and to be with you- if she could crawl into your skin, she would! She leans into you and burrows her head into your neck giving the most amazing cuddles. She also has a funny mischievous side and likes to steal shoes (never ruins them). Rachel would be best suited to a home where she can move freely rather than being confined to separate rooms or spaces, and where she’s welcome to enjoy the comforts of family life - whether that’s curling up on the sofa or joining her humans on the bed for a snuggle. Rachel needs a home where she won’t be left alone for long periods as she truly loves human company and connection.
Eating:
She is quite underweight and needs building up with good quality food. She currently eats Pooch and Mutt Primal Venison which is 18% fat. She loves fresh meat and loves dried trachea for a chew/treat. At mealtimes she can get distracted- she doesn’t seem a massive foodie but is learning. As we want her to eat because she is underweight we pop any uneaten food on our hand and she then gently eats it all. She has no resource guarding. We expect she should weigh around 9kg when she has reached her target weight.
House training:
Fully house trained, only one accident in a month of being here on arrival. She has learned the cue ‘toilet’.
Walking:
Rachel is a young dog still learning about the world around her, she loves her walks and is really blossoming, we can see her relaxing more and more. Her recall is good (but we have not tested it with distractions around) her favourite thing is a grassy field where she runs round in circles as fast as lightening, it’s so funny and heart warming to watch!
Rachel does have some reactivity to other dogs out on walks, she is not aggressive at all, it is frustration and possibly excitement combined – she wants to say hello. If she comes face to face with the dog she will say hello and not aggressive. We have been teaching a ‘look’ command so that she looks at us when I ask which is rewarded with a small piece of chicken. We have also been teaching a ‘yes’ command- when she looks at the dog without reacting we say ‘yes’ and she gets a small piece of chicken. She loves fresh meat so feel this is trainable. She needs someone understanding who has dog experience and is willing to continue training, build up her confidence.
Playtime:
Rachel has mastered fetch in the garden with toys and a tennis ball. She loves soft toys and is so gentle, she never rips or ruins a toy, only gently mouths it.
Exercise requirements:
She is a young, energetic and sometimes excitable dog who needs at least an hour a day or more along with mental enrichment. She needs a family who has a garden.
Bedtime:
Rachel sleeps on her own in the kitchen, she is quiet and even lets us have a lie in! She loves coming upstairs and spending time on the bed with us before bedtime having a cuddle, we then carry her downstairs at bedtime but she would never say no to sharing the bed all night!
Other animals:
She gets on well with other dogs, we feel she would love an energetic friend to play with but would also be ok on her own if her family were around a lot and give her lots of attention and meet up regularly with doggy friends. She can be very attention seeking, so if she lives with another dog they must not mind sharing their human with her.
She is also ok with our other small pets, although they are kept separate and do not directly interact, she does see them through a barrier and doesn’t react or bother them).
Children:
Rachel doesn’t have a bad bone in her body but she can get excitable so possibly aged 8+ if dog savvy?”
🩺 Health Information
