💔 Joey is looking for his happy ending 💔 Currently in foster in Essex Although lucky enough to find a UK home of his own earlier this year, with a family who absolutely adore him, they have had to make the heart-breaking decision to let him go, knowing that Joey would be happier in a different home. Sadly, after missing out on so much companionship earlier in life, Joey became deeply attached to a family of his own. Sharing that love and attention with the resident dog proved difficult and, despite everyone's best efforts, it became clear that Joey would be happiest as an only dog. After spending years confined to a small, filthy cage exposed to the elements, it's hardly surprising that this little boy treasures love, attention and simply being close to his people. So this wonderful little chap finds himself searching once again. And what a character he is. Full of fun, enthusiasm and personality, Joey has so much love to give. Joey is one of the friendliest, most affectionate and cheekiest little dogs you could ever hope to meet, and everyone who has met him has fallen instantly in love with him. Bright as a button, he loves learning and will happily master almost anything if there's a tasty treat involved. Joey will need someone who can continue his training, and he is already making great progress now that he is in a dog-free environment. His foster mum is helping him build confidence and trust, and teaching him that he is safe and can relax when he encounters other dogs. Joey is currently in temporary foster care in the UK, patiently waiting for that special someone who can offer him what he wants most, a loving home where he can be the centre of somebody's world.
