Mach – 9 Month Old Welsh Springer Spaniel (WSS)
Mach is a 9 month old Welsh Springer Spaniel originally selected for detection work, now available to a knowledgeable home where his natural qualities can be better appreciated.
He is a social, even-tempered dog who integrates well with both male and female dogs. Mach is fully crate trained, clean in the house, and travels comfortably, making him an easy companion in day-to-day life.
Mach has the beginnings of basic training, he will sit on command and is currently learning further obedience. Though like many spaniels his age he benefits from clear, consistent handling to maintain reliability. His recall is getting there now but not fully proofed (we are using a flexi at the moment or an enclosed environment), and will require continued reinforcement in his new home.
Mach would be best suited to an active, structured environment where he can enjoy regular exercise and engagement. While he was initially brought in for detection work, he is far better suited to a lifestyle home where his temperament and trainability can be developed without the pressure of high-drive work. He is slightly sensitive by nature and can be a little unsure in new situations, but with the right handling, he grows confidence within minutes.
He is intact, in excellent health, and ready to transition into a home that understands and values the breed.

An experienced home familiar with spaniels or working breeds, looking for a capable, well-started dog to continue developing.
