Daisy's home

Description

This is a very difficult decision, but we are looking for the right new home for Daisy, our beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Springer Spaniel. Daisy was born on 25/03/2025 and is a sweet, loving, playful young dog. She absolutely loves fuss, cuddles, sitting on your lap, and covering you in kisses. She is very affectionate, clever, food motivated, and full of energy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen family circumstances, we have not been able to give Daisy the time, training and attention she deserves. Because of this, she can be destructive, especially when bored or under-stimulated. This is not her fault. She needs someone who has the time, patience and experience to continue her training and give her the active, loving home she deserves. Daisy is: * House trained * Microchipped * Spayed * Umbilical hernia repaired * Good with adults * Very playful and active * Good with other dogs * Food motivated and knows some basic commands * Very affectionate and cuddly Daisy currently lives with a cat and is not aggressive towards cats. However, she is very curious and playful and will try to chase them because she thinks it is a game. Our cat generally avoids her, so Daisy may not be suitable for a home with cats unless the cat is confident around dogs and the new owner is prepared to manage introductions and continue her training. She can listen well for a treat when she is not too excited or distracted, but she is still young and needs consistency. Because of her energy and excitement levels, we feel she would be too much for children under around 10 years old. Her ideal home would be with someone who is around for most of the day, has time to train her, and can give her plenty of attention, walks, enrichment and love. She would likely suit an active household, possibly with another friendly dog, but only if the match is right. We are not looking to simply sell her to the first person interested. Daisy’s future wellbeing is far more important to us than money. We want to find the perfect home for her and would like the process to be gentle, not rushed or abrupt. We do not want her to feel abandoned or like she has done anything wrong. If the new family ever found they could not keep her, we would want Daisy to come back to us rather than be passed on elsewhere.
