Denzel is animal reactive and becomes anxious around unfamiliar people, so he will need a patient and experienced owner who understands reactive dogs and is willing to continue building his confidence at his pace. Because of this, he would be best suited as the only pet in the home and in an adult-only household with few visitors and a calm routine.
Once Denzel bonds with someone, he is loving, devoted, and enjoys companionship, walks, and relaxing at home with his person. He thrives with structure, clear boundaries, and someone who can advocate for him and help him feel secure.
