Description
We are sadly trying to find a new home for Minnie our 10 year old Springer Spaniel as her nervousness around children means she can’t tolerate our young child.
Minnie is a beautiful, loving dog and would make a wonderful companion given the right home, as she has been for us for many years. She is well trained within the home - She will sit, stay, lay down, paw, go bed and let you know when she needs to go out to the toilet. Her recall is unreliable, so she should be kept on a lead when out and about. Minnie walks well on the lead and enjoys walks in quieter areas such as wildlife parks, fields and footpaths away from traffic. Minnie has always had a fear of cars. Minnie will happily walk past other dogs on leads without any reaction but likes her own space and does not want to be bothered by dogs off leads, she prefers interacting with people. She loves adult company and spending as much time out in the garden as she can so a garden would be essential. The garden would need to be secure with a good size fence as she has a tendency to want to follow her nose and would chase a cat. Her favourite thing is playing with water, be it playing with the hose, tap, paddling pool or splashing in the river. Despite being 10 years old, she is not showing her age - she is still bouncy and full of energy. She is in good health, fully insured with no exemptions. We will be devastated to see her go after many happy years but keeping her and our child apart is getting too much and we want her to have the time and attention she deserves in a stress free home that she can relax in!
