If you’re looking for a safe, steady plod—he’s not your horse.
If you’re a knowledgeable rider wanting a talented, rewarding horse to produce and build a real partnership with… please keep reading.
It’s with a truly heavy heart that I’m considering finding a new home for my special boy. I’ve had him since October, and this is not a decision I ever thought I’d be making—but I love him enough to know he deserves more than I can currently give.
He’s a 17.1hh, 10-year-young Thoroughbred who absolutely thrives when he has a job and a purpose. Due to a change in my circumstances, he’s been in and out of consistent work, which just isn’t fair on him—he needs routine, direction, and someone who can keep him moving forward.
Because of this, I don’t have a huge amount of recent ridden footage, but I do have videos from his previous home and some of us together before Christmas. He has been ridden since, including by a few others on the yard.
I just don’t feel I’m his forever person—and he deserves someone who can truly bring out the best in him.
He is not just going to be a happy hacker - however he is EXCELLENT around traffic and has been hacked out numerous time with me he needs a job and would be far better suited to a knowledgeable, active home. I genuinely believe he could excel in **hunting, trail riding, or even jumping** (he has previously raced on the flat in Germany and also won a hurdles race in the UK).
**✨ The good stuff:**
• Loads beautifully
• Brilliant for the farrier and vet
• Easy to catch
• Stables well
• Turns out happily with mares and geldings (currently with one of each)
• Loves a groom and thrives on attention
• Stands nicely once settled
• Recently had his sheath cleaned and behaved impeccably
• Full passport
• Comes with rugs
• RoR eligible
* Can throw an excited Buck
* does attach himself to his field mates.
**📝 Honest notes:**
• Can have the odd spook but gets over it quickly
• Very occasionally gets a little excited heading out to turnout
• Needs consistency and a confident, understanding rider
• Once at the mounting block, he’s a “get on and go” type—something that can be improved with time and consistency
He is one of the most rewarding horses to build a relationship with. He’s listened to my rants, my tears (especially through winter 😂), and has given me some of the most heartwarming moments I could’ve asked for. He’s got so much love to give, and so much potential still to unlock.
**🩺 Health:**
• Wind operation (before I owned him)
• Kissing spine surgery (shaved, before I owned him)
• Previous surface hoof abscess – healed with no ongoing issues
• Never been lame with me

**When messaging, please include a little about yourself, your experience, and the type of home you can offer him. Messages without this may not be responded to.**
If you feel you could be his person and want a genuinely rewarding horse to produce for summer and beyond, please message me ❤️
