🔄 UPDATE FROM NEW FOSTER
What a difference just 24 hours can make! ❤️
Caramel has moved to a new foster home, and we couldn't have hoped for a lovelier update. She arrived nervous and unsure, moving away, hiding whenever her foster approached her. But within just ONE DAY, the change has been incredible.
This is what her new foster says:
“Within 24 hours she has completely changed. She is now a loving dog with only a small bit of nerves. She happily allows me to go near her, pick her up, lay on me for a cuddle and shows no defensive reaction to me, my partner or our other foster dog. She is such a loving girl with a huge personality. She's constantly making us laugh with her little puppy play. 🐶🤍
Day two, today she has been amazing. Coming up to me, playing, running away thinking it’s a game. She came up to see where I was when I was in the shower 😂. She is still nervous but my goodness, within 24 hours she’s a different dog. Still a long way to go but really doing well.” 🤍
And this is exactly why we ask people not to judge a rescue dog by their first few days. Caramel is already showing us so much more of the funny, affectionate puppy we knew was there. ❤️

💔 Rescue Story
Caramel and her sisters were abandoned outside a village shop in Ukraine.
Too young to understand why they had been left behind, they searched for food and waited for somebody to care. Thankfully, kind people stepped in, and the puppies were raised in a multi-dog foster home in a village.
Caramel recently arrived in England and is now starting a completely new chapter of her life.
🐾 More About Caramel
Caramel is showing us just how much personality is packed into this lovely young girl.
She enjoys playing with other dogs and takes a lot from their companionship. In her previous UK foster she played beautifully with the resident dog and they would sometimes even sleep curled up together. Now, in her new foster, she is once again happily sharing her home with another foster dog.
And the puppy side is definitely coming out! 😁 She plays, runs around, turns being chased into a game and follows her foster to investigate what she's doing — apparently even showering requires Caramel's supervision. 😂
She is curious about everything, and like many puppies, that curiosity can occasionally extend to shoes, toilet rolls and remote controls. Nothing unusual for her age, but phones, cables, documents and other irresistible human treasures should stay safely above puppy level while she grows up.
She is doing well with toileting outside and is learning home routines quickly.
Caramel may still need a little time when something is new, but we now know how quickly she can connect once she begins to feel comfortable. In just 24 hours she went from keeping her distance to approaching her foster herself, enjoying cuddles and happily lying on her. ❤️
🏡 Ideal Home
Caramel would suit a patient, loving home with a secure private garden and another friendly, playful and confident resident dog.
Another dog is essential for her. She has grown up around dogs, loves their company and benefits enormously from having a canine friend beside her.
She needs people who understand that settling shouldn't be rushed. Give her routine, kindness, positive experiences and a little time — and Caramel is already showing us just how much she gives back.
💞 And what a lovely little character is emerging! Funny, affectionate, playful, curious and full of puppy mischief — Caramel is only 10 months old and has a whole lifetime of adventures, games, cuddles and zoomies ahead of her.
Now we would absolutely love her next move to be the one that leads to her forever family. ❤️
🩺 Health Information
Caramel is healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She was C.Brucella tested before travelling to the UK (approved laboratory certificate provided).
