Our sweet little Jack Russell cross who spent so long waiting for someone to see beyond his age and little quirks. It took time. He moved between a few homes while we searched for the right match. Not everyone realised that although Dodger is now in his golden years, he still loves his walks, loves to play, has plenty of energy and isn't shy about using his voice when he has something to say. Then something wonderful happened... A lovely lady came along who accepted Dodger exactly as he was. She didn't want to change him. She simply loved him. ❤️ Most importantly, she understood that what matters most about Dodger isn't that he's a little quirky... It's that once he loves you, he loves you with his whole heart. We truly believed this would be forever. Sadly, life had other plans. 💔 Dodger's beloved owner has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is now facing a long and difficult journey of treatment, including possible surgery. With nobody else able to care for Dodger during this incredibly challenging time, she has made the heartbreaking decision to ask for our help. 🐾 Meet Dodger Dodger is a 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier cross with a huge personality packed into a little body. ✨ Highlights ✨ • SIZE: Small • NEUTERED: Yes • CHARACTER: Loyal • Affectionate • Playful • Full of character • DOGS: Best as the only pet • CATS: Best not • CHILDREN: Older sensible children 🐾 More About Dodger Dodger absolutely adores his people. Throw it once... and he'll happily convince you to throw it another dozen times. He is fully house-trained, enjoys his walks and loves being involved in everyday family life. Like many terriers, Dodger has his own opinions and isn't afraid to express them. He can be vocal when excited or unsure, but underneath it all is an incredibly devoted little dog who simply wants to belong. 🏡 Ideal Home Dodger is looking for a calm, loving home where he can be the only pet and enjoy all the attention for himself, with someone always around. A house with a secure garden would be perfect, together with people who appreciate terrier personalities and are looking for a loyal companion rather than a "perfect" dog. 💙 We know this is another huge change for Dodger. He's losing the person he adores, not because the love has gone, but because illness has forced an impossible decision.
