Location: Foster home in Shropshire
❤️ Ava is blind but she doesn’t let that stop her. She was abandoned outside a house in Romania, the occupants found her and took her to the shelter. She was blind when she arrived there with no obvious cause. She was lucky enough to be chosen to enter her current foster home where she is thriving.
Ava loves attention from anyone who visits her foster family. She welcomes them with a wagging tail and an insistent request for tummy rubs.
Ava is happier with a routine, just so things are easier for her to navigate. She prefers walking on routes she is familiar with but she is a joy on the lead. She does like to say hello to people and dogs en route when she can sense they are there but can get worried if off lead dogs get too close or rush towards her.
Ava is happy to be the only dog in the household but is also able top live with other calm and gentle dogs. The same goes for children, she would be best with older children who understand she is blind and can approach respectfully.
Ava is a little star in the home. She is toilet trained, and sleeps well overnight. She loves cuddles and playing with her toys. She absolutely adores being with her foster family just chilling.
Ava deserves a family of her own who not only can see past her disability, but also see that she is the perfect family dog in the making. She has been described by her foster mum as “a gorgeous dog, a real softie”.❤️
