Description
Meet Pablo, a beautiful 1 year old male tabby cat who has a loving and affectionate personality. He enjoys attention, loves cuddles, and is really playful.
He is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. I have his vaccination records available aswell.
Pablo is great with children I have a 5 year old child and newborn baby. He is really patient, gentle, and calm around them. He has also lived with a female 5 year old cat and enjoys trying to play with her, she doesn’t always take to well to the attempts to play but her annoyance doesn’t seem to phase him, he still tries to play. We also live in a cat heavy neighbourhood and he is always outside playing with the other cats or laying with them in the garden.
This is a very difficult decision for us as a family, but we are looking for a new home for Pablo due to some ongoing problems with scent marking behaviour. During my recent pregnancy, he started to scent mark around the house which ended in significant damage to flooring, furniture, bedding, and other household items. We spent a lot of money on replacing all of these items, the behaviour then stopped for a period of time and we hoped that the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately he has recently started to scent mark again and with a newborn in the home, we are unable to continue managing this situation or risk further damage as this may bring harm to the baby.
Pablo is fully litter trained and uses his litter tray appropriately. We are unsure of the exact cause of the scent marking, but we feel he may be better suited to a home without other cats, as the behaviour could potentially be territorial in nature. At all vet appointments he has been deemed completely healthy so we know this is not a medical issue.
We love and care for Pablo so much and want to find him a loving, understanding home where he can thrive. Pablo must go to a home that has the time and patience to help if he does continue with this behaviour in a new home. He may potentially be better off in a home with no other pets due to us believing this is a territorial behaviour.
