Description
Flash is a stunning Oldenberg x Appaloosa
He is sure to turn heads wherever he goes.
He was very lightly backed last year and was then turned away.
He is ready for his next home to fully break him and get the most from him.
I bred Flash from my mare (she can be seen), he was my first foal.
He does have a very unique personality, I think we made the mistake of over handling him. Now he isn't overly rude and bolshy, he does know basics, but, he doesn't have quite as much respect for humans as perhaps he should. He is a very clever horse too, which, if channelled correctly will be a huge asset, however, he would be quick to learn how to take the mick with a novice person. He doesn't like being "told" what to do, he will pull faces to show his disapproval, he hasn't ever followed through, but, given the opportunity he may. Offer him treats, he's the most enthusiastic trainee you could ask for, I taught him very quickly to "park" at the mounting block, however, he will try this trick, in the field, when you aren't expecting it, as he swings sideways to present himself for his treat lol
With this in mind, Flash would most definitely need to go to soneone who understands horses and has the time and patience to get the very best out of him.
He has lovely paces and great conformation.
He's up to date with everything.
He loads and travels well in a 3.5t box, although he hasn't done so, since last year.
He was taken showing and behaved perfectly as a 2 year old.
He has been to the horse adventure playground where he was absolutely amazing, he tried every obstacle, even when he was scared, he tried.
Sadly I have too many horses, very little time or motivation and, if I'm honest, I wouldn't do him justice and ridden wise, I am too wussy, I'd teach him the wrong way very quickly, I'd much prefer to ride a donkey than a sports horse.
Happy to discuss anything in more detail, I've had him 5 years, so know him pretty well
I can help with transport
