Description
This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write. Rambo is incredibly loved, so if he does go anywhere it will only be to the absolute right home. This is not a rushed decision and I will be very selective about where he goes.
Rambo is a 2½ year old Terrier x Staffy x Alsatian with a huge personality and even bigger heart. He is genuinely one of the most affectionate dogs I’ve ever known. He loves nothing more than cuddling up with his person, resting his head on your chest or in your neck, and being close to you at all times.
His tail never stops wagging – sometimes it feels like he might take off! He’s playful, funny, and absolutely obsessed with water. Puddles, rivers, baths… if there’s water, Rambo is in it making splashes.
He currently lives with my other dogs and is great with them, which makes this decision even harder.
Rambo’s personality:
• Extremely affectionate and cuddly
• Very playful and energetic
• Loves running in open fields
• Water obsessed – loves swimming and puddles
• Very food motivated (great for training)
• People-focused and loves attention
Things he is still working on:
Rambo is still young and has a lot of energy, so he does need continued training and guidance.
• Can be very strong and pully on the lead
• Gets very excited when people arrive (barking/howling/jumping)
• Can be anxious around unfamiliar dogs when out
• Has some separation anxiety and prefers being with his humans
• very jumpy when excited
This is not aggression – he is just an excitable, high-energy dog with anxiety who needs structure and confidence building.
Children:
Rambo is very loving with children and enjoys cuddling them, but because he is excitable and jumpy he may accidentally knock over very small children steal food and lick.
Exercise:
Rambo is a high-energy dog who thrives when he has space to run and explore. He loves enclosed fields, countryside walks and anywhere with water.
His ideal home would be:
• Active and outdoorsy
• Someone with experience with energetic dogs
• A home with access to fields, countryside or large outdoor spaces
• Someone willing to continue training and build his confidence
• A home where he won’t be left alone for long periods
Homes with older children, active individuals, or countryside lifestyles may suit him best.
Rambo is honestly the most loving, cuddly boy and has so much love to give the right person. Watching him run through fields or splash in puddles with his whole body wagging is something special.
Please understand this decision is heartbreaking for me, so he will not be going to just anyone. I will be taking my time speaking to people and making sure the home is absolutely right.
If you believe you could offer Rambo the loving, active home he deserves, please message me and tell me a bit about your home and experience with dogs.
Only asking for money as I want serious people only.
