🐾 Rambo – Urgent Home Needed 🐾 HE IS NOT AGGRESSIVE OR NASTY!! This is honestly the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write, so please read fully 🤍 Rambo is my 2.5 year old terrier x staffy x Alsatian, and he is the most loving, cuddly, human-like dog you will ever meet. He gives the BEST cuddles, rests his head on your chest, and just wants to be with his person all the time. He’s playful, silly, full of personality, and absolutely loves water, running in fields, and being outdoors. Never far from his owner and will literally be cradled like a baby even tho he may be to big! 💔 However… Rambo is not an easy dog and I need to be completely honest. Since a relationship breakdown, I haven’t been able to give him what he truly needs, and I can see he deserves more than I can offer right now. This decision is heartbreaking and not something I’m rushing — I will only let him go to the right home. ⸻ 🧠 Rambo’s Needs & Behaviour • Very high energy – needs hours of exercise daily (not just lead walks, proper running & stimulation) • Separation anxiety – needs someone home most of the time • Very strong on the lead – pulls a lot • Reactive to other dogs – howls, pulls, gets overwhelmed (not aggressive, but anxious) • Can become reactive when very scared or overstimulated • Extremely excitable – jumps up, very full on when meeting people • Barks/howls when people arrive • Not off-lead trained • Not crate trained (crate triggers him) • Can steal food / get into bins • Recently started showing some food-related guarding • May be unsettled in a new home at first (crying/howling) ⸻ 🏡 What He Needs I truly believe Rambo would thrive in: • A home with NO other dogs • No young children (he loves kids but is too jumpy and strong) • Someone experienced with anxious/reactive dogs • Someone home most of the time • A very active lifestyle (fields, quiet walking areas ideal) • Someone committed to consistent training • A calm, structured environment where he is the main focus ⸻ ❤️ The Good (because there is so much) • The most affectionate, cuddly dog ever • Loves people and attention • Great with dogs he knows (currently lives with 2) • Very playful and funny personality • Loves water, mud, adventures • Truly a “Velcro dog” — just wants to love and be loved ⸻ ⚠️ Important Rambo is not a first-time or easy family dog. He needs time, patience, structure and someone who understands behaviour. I will be: • Asking questions • Speaking to multiple people • Checking profiles • Doing meets properly Please don’t be offended — this is about finding him the best possible home, not the quickest. ⸻ 📍 Based in Caldicot / Newport area 📩 Message me if genuinely interested and able to meet his needs ⸻ I love him more than anything and this is breaking me, but I truly believe the right home is out there for him 🤍
