Gracie – 13.3hh, 6-Year-Old Cob Mare
A lovely 13.3hh, 6-year-old cob mare looking for her forever home.
Gracie was backed as a 4-year-old before being turned away to mature. She has come back into work with us this year and has proven to be a safe, willing pony. She has been used in our riding school, but it has become clear that this environment isn’t where she thrives. She would much prefer a quieter, one-to-one home where she can build a bond with her person and enjoy a consistent routine.
She has never bucked or reared with us and is a genuine, safe ride. She enjoys hacking and is fantastic in traffic, being completely unfazed by tractors, cars, and all the usual sights and sounds of our busy working farm.
Gracie is happy in the school, although she does appreciate a rider who will keep her positively forward. Where she really comes alive is over a jump! She absolutely loves it and is showing plenty of promise, making her an exciting prospect for a confident young rider wanting to have fun with riding club, jumping, and hacking.
On the ground, Gracie is a sweet mare who forms strong bonds with her people. She can be a little wary of strangers initially, so she would suit someone patient who will give her the time to settle and build trust.
She is good for the farrier and easy to manage day to day.
Gracie does have a sarcoid on her chest, but it has never caused any issues with riding or tacking up.
Her passport currently shows an incorrect date of birth, as a replacement passport was issued before we bought her. However, we have veterinary confirmation of her correct age and will be submitting the paperwork to have this amended.
Gracie would make a fantastic partner for a confident child or small teenager looking for a genuine, affectionate pony to enjoy and progress with. She deserves a home where she can be someone’s number one.
