California Kingsnake “Ghost” – W-Band Morph
Ghost is a striking California kingsnake with a rare W-band morph, creating a distinctive skeleton-like pattern that makes him truly stand out. He was produced by a reputable breeder (Reptco) and is a high-quality example of this unique morph.
Ghost has excellent fundamentals – he feeds consistently (never missed a meal), sheds cleanly, and has no issues with toileting. When handled outside of his enclosure, he shows good potential and can be a rewarding snake to work with.
However, it is important to be transparent about his behaviour. Ghost is highly territorial within his vivarium and will bite consistently (often multiple times) when a hand is introduced into his enclosure. For this reason, he is not suitable for a beginner keeper, as this behaviour can be challenging without prior experience. Placing him in an inexperienced home would be unfair to both the snake and the owner. Confident keepers who have done thorough research will be considered.
This is a very difficult decision to make. I have kept snakes since the age of 16 and previously had the time to work closely with them. Now, at 21 and working full-time, I no longer have the availability needed to properly invest in a younger, more demanding snake. In hindsight, I should have taken on an already established adult rather than another project animal.
Ghost would benefit greatly from an experienced keeper who can:
• Invest time in consistent, structured handling
• Build his confidence gradually
• Reduce stress associated with interaction

• Ghost will be sold on his own – a full and appropriate setup must be in place prior to purchase
• He will not be available to view for 36 hours from the time of posting, due to being recently fed
• Due to his small size, viewing may be limited
