Meet Maisie ❤️ Maisie is a beautiful 6-year-old Bichon Frise with the sweetest nature. She’s the definition of a little teddy bear—gentle, affectionate, and happiest when she’s curled up beside someone who loves a cuddle. If you’re looking for a dog that wants to be your best friend and shower you with love, Maisie is exactly that. Most of the time, Maisie is calm and relaxed, enjoying cuddles, attention, and simply being close to her people. She does, however, have little bursts of excitement where her playful side comes out, and she loves to have a play and having fun. Maisie is good with children and enjoys their company, although she can become very excitable because she absolutely adores affection and fuss. Her excitement comes from love rather than aggression, so she may just need gentle encouragement to settle when meeting new people. She has lived with both dogs and a cat during her life and generally gets along well with other pets. She has a caring nature and has even been known to groom them. Like many dogs who love attention, she can become a little jealous if another pet is receiving all the fuss, often trying to join in and steal a cuddle for herself. She has never shown aggression because of this, but she can be protective over treats around other animals, so feeding separately would be recommended. Maisie has previously been toilet trained, but following a significant change in her home life - the loss one of her owners, she gradually stopped going outside to toilet. She is currently used to using puppy pads indoors and is very reliable with them, only having accidents if the pad isn’t regularly changed. With patience, consistency, and encouragement, her new family may be able to help rebuild her confidence with outdoor toileting. She previously suffered from fleas, which caused her to scratch and nibble at her lower back, leaving some staining to her coat in that area. Above all else, Maisie is an incredibly loving little dog with so much affection to give. She deserves a home where she’ll be cherished, included as part of the family, and given all the love and attention she craves. In return, she’ll reward you with endless cuddles, kisses, and companionship. She truly is a little bundle of joy just waiting to make someone’s house feel like home.
