Despite her 13 years, Mitsy's owner says she has a real kitten look. She is a gentle, affectionate companion who enjoys her independence whilst her owners are out of the home. She's also very much a lap cat who loves to nap on her favourite human. Expect her to quietly hop onto your lap, settle in and drift off to sleep while purring contentedly. She shows her affection with soft head bumps, cheek rubs and the occasional gentle paw touch to your forehead.
She spends most of her time relaxing but does still have a playful side, especially when catnip is involved - at which point she can become surprisingly energetic and full of character.
She is friendly with adults, often approaching new people for attention, but prefers to keep her distance from children and will choose to hide when things feel too busy. She is used to being the only cat and having some access to the outdoors (though she is mostly an indoor kitty and can adapt to indoor life).
Ideal Home
- Not a fan of other cats
- Perfect for someone who works in the office (of course, hybrid and work from home are great too)
- Access to a safe garden preferred but not essential
- Not been in close contact with dogs; possible compatibility with cat-friendly dog
