Honest ad, This is Dave he is a friendly, affectionate dog who enjoys being around people. He likes attention and is happiest when he has company and something to do. We believe that he’s around 5 years old. He is very intelligent and quick to learn, especially when motivated, and shows all the traits of a typical working spaniel. He enjoys activities like retrieving, exploring, and using his nose, and would benefit from an owner who can continue to engage him mentally as well as physically. He has a lot of energy and enthusiasm for life, which means he can be quite full-on at times. He is not a low-maintenance dog and needs structure, routine, and clear boundaries to help him settle. Due to his energy levels and strong instincts, we feel he would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand boundaries and can give him space when needed. In the right environment, with the right outlet for his energy and instincts, he has the potential to be a really rewarding and loyal This has been a difficult decision for us. We live on a working farm with poultry and wildlife, and despite our best efforts to manage the situation, his strong prey drive makes this environment unsuitable for him long-term. He has previously been rehomed for similar reasons, and we have seen the same behaviours with us. We feel it is in his best interest to find a home where he is not constantly exposed to these triggers and can be set up to succeed. Our priority is finding him a more suitable environment where his needs can be fully met and where he can live more relaxed and fulfilled.
