"Some dogs wait for someone to save them... Scout decided to save himself." Meet SCOUT, a remarkable little survivor whose story proves that hope is stronger than fear. ❤️ Scout's Motto : "I escaped death once... now I'm searching for life." 🐾 Scout's journey began in one of Romania's notorious public kill shelters. Whether he was cruelly abandoned by his owner or captured as a stray, nobody can say for certain. What we do know is that, instead of accepting his fate, Scout made a daring escape. Somehow, this clever little dog found his way back to freedom. As luck would have it, he crossed paths with our wonderful fellow rescuer Cristina, who recognised that behind those bright, watchful eyes was a dog who simply wanted another chance at life. Unfortunately, like so many rescuers, neither Cristina nor we had a free foster space. Rather than leaving him at risk again, Scout was safely placed in a private boarding kennel, where he is now patiently waiting for the family he has always deserved. And what a lovely little companion he is... ________________________________________ ❤️ About Scout • Name: Scout • Estimated Date of Birth: 06 March 2022 (although we believe he may be younger) • Sex: Male • Size: Small to Medium weighing around 15Kg. • Breed: Mixed Breed – with strong Lancashire Heeler, Australian Kelpie, and perhaps a touch of Corgi influence. Those magnificent ears and alert expression make him absolutely unforgettable. Scout is one of those dogs who seems to like everybody. He is wonderfully affectionate with people, enjoys attention and happily accepts cuddles from anyone willing to offer them. He is equally friendly with other dogs and settles well around canine companions, making him an excellent candidate for a home with an existing friendly dog. Despite everything life has thrown at him, Scout has remained cheerful, optimistic and full of trust. ________________________________________ 🏡 His Ideal Home Scout would thrive with someone looking for a loyal companion rather than simply "a dog." He would love: ❤️ A family who enjoys walks and spending time together. ❤️ A secure garden to explore. ❤️ Another friendly dog would be a bonus, although he would also be perfectly happy as an only dog receiving plenty of love.
