Description

Welcome to our advert for our stunning Cocker Spaniel puppies About us and how we work 👇🏻 Sykehead holds a higher 5-star council breeding licence with Carlisle City Council, licence number M: ************. We were one of the first nationally recognised qualified dog breeders in the UK, having successfully completed the Ofqual Level 3 Certificate in Dog Breeding, Puppy Socialisation and Welfare. We are extremely proud to hold this qualification, which reflects our commitment to responsible breeding, health, welfare and raising happy, confident puppies. Meet the Parents Fern (Dam) is our beautiful chocolate Working Cocker Spaniel. Although she doesn’t work, she is first and foremost our much-loved family pet. She is one of the kindest and sweetest girls you could meet, and her previous puppies have inherited her wonderful temperament and loving nature. Fern’s health status: • FN Clear • AMS Clear • DM Clear • EIC Clear • PRA-PRCD Clear • AON Clear • Glycogen Storage Disease VII Clear • BVA Eye Test Clear (2026) Rolo (Sire) is a stunning, true-to-type Show Cocker Spaniel. He is a handsome Chocolate Roan and Tan, and his fantastic personality perfectly complements his striking looks. Rolo’s health status: • FN Clear • AMS Clear • DM Clear • EIC Clear • PRA-PRCD Clear • AON Clear • Glycogen Storage Disease VII Clear • BVA Eye Test Clear (2026) • Hips 4/5 • Elbows 0/0 This is a repeat mating and, with the previous litter now grown and thriving in their forever homes, we are delighted to be repeating this successful combination. Fern and Rolo have been comprehensively health tested above and beyond what you will often find. As a result, every puppy from this litter is guaranteed hereditary clear of all the DNA conditions listed above. Raising Happy, Healthy and Confident Puppies Health and temperament are our highest priorities. All of our puppies are born beside my bed and are then moved into our kitchen, where they quickly become accustomed to the everyday sights and sounds of a busy country farmhouse. By the time they leave us at eight weeks of age, they will have received the very best start in life. They will have followed a strict worming programme, been treated with Frontline at six weeks as a preventative against fleas, been microchipped, and undergone a full veterinary health check as close to eight weeks of age as possible. In addition to everyday household noises, our puppies benefit from access to our purpose-built enrichment puppy room. This provides plenty of space to explore, play and develop confidence. Our Early Development Puppy Play Area has been designed to encourage early stimulation and cognitive development. Research has shown that the critical socialisation period for puppies is between 4 and 16 weeks of age, and puppies exposed to a wide variety of sights, sounds and textures during this time are more likely to grow into confident, well-adjusted adults. Through our carefully designed play areas and selection of stimulating toys, puppies experience different textures, sounds and challenges, helping to support the development of their nervous systems and preparing them for life beyond their littermates. We firmly believe that these experiences, combined with excellent breeding and plenty of love and care, help us raise stable, confident and well-rounded puppies. Keeping in Touch Please feel free to contact us with any questions that I may not have already answered in this advert. I like to advertise my litters early, giving prospective families plenty of time to get to know me over the phone, by message and when visiting the puppies. I believe in building lasting relationships with my puppy families and keeping in regular contact throughout the puppies’ journey. Over the coming weeks, I will provide regular updates, photographs and progress reports, allowing you to enjoy watching your puppy grow and develop until the exciting day they are ready to come home. KC Reg WE REQUIRE A £300 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT/HOLDING FEE TO SECURE YOUR PUPPY . Thank you for taking the time to read about our puppies, and we look forward to hearing from you and helping you find your perfect companion.
