Description

Milo 3-Year-Old Male Rottweiler Seeking a Forever Home Milo is a handsome, exceptionally well bred and affectionate three-year-old male Rottweiler looking for a loving and committed forever home following a change in his owners’ housing circumstances. This difficult decision was made entirely due to circumstances beyond their control, and he has been much loved throughout his life. He has excellent pedigree and full papers. Milo is a large boy at approximately 51kg, but behind his impressive appearance is a friendly, people-oriented dog who enjoys companionship and being part of family life. He has spent time living in a home environment and has settled well into daily routines with myself (fosterer), enjoying relaxing near his people, accompanying them on outings and being involved in everyday activities, office, coffee shops, pubs etc During his stay with me, Milo has lived successfully alongside four resident dogs, including three Dachshunds and a Manchester Terrier, all significantly smaller than him. He has shown no aggression towards them, no resource guarding and has integrated remarkably well into my household. He actually loves them and respects their space. He walks alongside them and respects their boundaries. His ability to live peacefully with much smaller dogs has been one of the most positive aspects of his assessment as I assist his owners in finding him a perfect home. Milo enjoys walks, exploring new places and spending time with his person. He has accompanied me to cafés, workplaces, public spaces and social environments where he has generally been calm and well behaved all very soon as he moved in. Like many large breeds, he can become excited at the beginning of a walk and may pull initially before settling. He can also become interested in unfamiliar dogs at a distance (mostly wanting to play) and would benefit from an owner who is confident continuing his lead training and focus work. He is intelligent, responsive and eager to engage with his handler. The only reason he cannot be permanently adopted by me is the size and management with my other dogs and this is the only reason. He is a world class dog. At home, Milo is affectionate and loyal. He enjoys human company and forms strong bonds with the people caring for him. He is happiest when included in family life rather than being left isolated for long periods. He travels well, enjoys toys and swimming (!), and has shown himself to be a gentle and sociable companion. Milo would be best suited to a home with experience of larger breeds or owners willing to continue his training and provide clear boundaries, consistency and structure. He has so many wonderful qualities and deserves a family who will appreciate both his loving nature and his loyal character. This is an incredibly difficult decision for his owners, and finding the right home is far more important than finding the quickest home. Together we are looking for a permanent, committed family who can offer Milo the stability, companionship and love he deserves for the rest of his life. Please do not contact me if you are looking for a guard dog, trophy dog or protection dog. He is a five star dog and the most loving and gentle soul and we want to do the best by him. Milo’s veterinary records, microchip details and full paperwork on his lines are available, and any prospective home will be carefully considered to ensure the best possible match. Countryside or semi rural preferred although he has adapted to town life here well. Can be KC registered if new owner wishes. Ready to leave if the right home is found. Based in the North West.
