💔 Rescue Story
Bella’s life began in one of the hardest places imaginable. She was found as a young puppy in the Donbas — an abandoned, war-damaged town where houses stood empty and gardens were silent after people fled for safety.
A volunteer evacuation crew working in those forgotten streets found Bella wandering alone. Small, white and trusting, she approached them as if she had been waiting for someone to finally take her away from the emptiness. That day she left the war zone behind and was brought to safety.
🐾 More About Bella
After rescue Bella first lived in a private mini-shelter where she stayed outdoors in a kennel but shared her environment peacefully with many cats. She showed nothing but gentleness and curiosity toward them, becoming known as the little “snow-white cat lover.”
Three months ago Bella moved to another foster home where she now lives with many other dogs. She integrates beautifully into the group, happily playing and socialising with the canine pack. Cats are still around in the household and Bella remains perfectly calm with them — although the cats prefer to keep a respectful distance from the energetic dog gang.
Bella is affectionate and very people-oriented. She listens well, learns commands quickly and tries hard to do the right thing. Her energy is joyful but balanced: she loves to run and play with other dogs, but she is not chaotic or overwhelming.
Unfortunately in December, when Bella was already ready to travel and even had a family waiting for her in England, Bella broke her front paw. The bone has healed well, however her front left leg remains slightly crooked. A recent follow-up X-ray confirmed that the bone itself healed correctly (see recent X-Ray).
The orthopaedic specialist explained that X-rays do not show ligaments, and it is very likely that a ligament injury was missed at the time of trauma. Unfortunately, as more than four months have now passed, this cannot be corrected. Surgery would be very complex, invasive, and would not guarantee a long-term improvement, therefore it was not recommended.
Most importantly — this does not affect Bella’s quality of life in any way. She has no pain, no restriction in movement, no discomfort, and lives a completely normal, active, happy life. The slight crookedness is now simply cosmetic, and may even become less noticeable over time.
🏡 Ideal Family
Bella would thrive in an active family where she can enjoy walks, playtime and companionship. She would be very happy with another friendly dog, as she loves canine company and play. A secure garden where she can run and explore safely would make her very happy.
She would suit families with dog-savvy children who are not scared of playful dogs, active couples or individuals who enjoy sharing everyday life with a joyful and affectionate dog.
💞 Bella has already overcome a difficult beginning in life but has kept her bright spirit and trusting heart. She is ready for a home where she will finally belong — a place filled with love, play and companionship.
🩺 Health Information
Bella is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She previously suffered a broken front paw. The bone has healed well, but due to a likely past ligament injury, her front left leg remains slightly crooked. This is cosmetic defect, does not cause pain or discomfort, does not require treatment, and does not affect her activity or quality of life. Surgery was not recommended by an orthopaedic specialist.
All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (owners receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
