Kooky Is between 1 and 2 years of age.
Unfortunately as a bird that is known to mimic she came to us from a home with a new born baby so will mimic a baby crying, she has been with us for 12 months but has not mimicked anything else and it can be very overwhelming for the neurodiverse people in our home.
Kooky like any other Derbyan is very destructive and needs eyes on her at all times when out of her cage, she also destroys toys within a day and these need replenishing regular or she becomes bored and will tip out her water and food.
Kooky will fly to us for a treat and will allow hands in her cage to change her water and food but she is not yet allowing touch. She has not shown aggression but will give a warning.
Kooky is a fantastic little bird with amazing character and never fails to make me smile, she has the intelligence and drive to be an amazing tame friend to the right person who has the time to give her. this is not a decision which has been reached lightly however
Kooky and our African grey do not get along and for this reason she is not having the time out that she needs hence why we have reached the decision to rehome her, for this reason we will want to do a home check so please do not enquire if you are more than a 2hr drive or do not have several hours free to interact with her and give her the time that she needs.
Kooky can come with her cage but you will need something to transport her in unless you have a large van that she can stay securely in her cage for the journey.
